They must find a way out or face a life of servitude to an alien infiltration of earth by way of religious conscription and subsequent obedience. The world must be awakened to the growing menace innocently disguised as a string on rural churches. The divine rapture is unlikely to be divine for the residents of this small town.

Eleven plane crash survivors, with the help of two local woodsmen, brave the Amazon Jungle in an effort to make their way back to civilization and home. The dangers of the wilderness turn out to be the least of their worries as it becomes evident that a dangerous tribe of Voodoo-practicing cannibals have other plans for the intruders. Their plan is to hold up in a long abandoned plantation villa for the night as traveling on the Amazon River in the dark would be too dangerous. The two woodsmen tell the survivors of the tribe but their story is more or less dismissed as a folktale until the Mambo, the Voodoo priest, begins to exert his power upon the trespassers. Surrounded by darkness, with the walls closing in it becomes clear that the efforts of these mortals are no match for the powers of the Mambo. The tribe and their leader slowly pick apart the group as the nightmare unfolds.
